Day 1 Kiev
Welcome to Kiev, capital of Ukraine. After boarding your ship, take free time to relax before dinner. (D)

>Day 2 Kiev
Your morning tour takes you through Kiev, the "Mother of Cities," and one of the oldest cities in all of Europe. Explore the city center, its historic buildings and monuments. Continue with a guided tour of the lovely domed St. Sophia Cathedral, containing colorful frescoes and mosaics.

Day 3 Dnieper River
After lunch aboard, visit the Monastery of Caves, a complex of domed churches and museums founded by monks in 1051. During your guided visit of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, tour the main cathedral, dining room and underground labyrinth of caves. Return to your ship for an evening departure and dinner aboard. Day 4 Dnepropetrovsk
After breakfast tour Dnepropetrovsk, an old fortress settlement and one of Ukraine's important commerical cities. Your city tour gives you a brief overview with added time to explore the History Museum, showcasing the country's fascinating Cossack history. Return to your ship for lunch and an afternoon departure. Dinner is served aboard. (B,L,D)

Day 5 Nova Kachovka
After lunch, tour Nova Kachovka, a picturesque riverside town central to Ukraine's hydro-electric power production. Take a guided stroll along tis riverside promedade, see landmark buildings including City Hall and enjoy a folkloric performance in the Palace of Culture. Afternoon sailing is followed by dinner. Day 6 Odessa
Your full day in Odessa starts with a half-day city tour. Travel through this elegant city filled with terraced hills and landscaped parks. Continue with a walking tour through the older parts of town, along Primorski Boulevard to the Opera House and famous Potemkin Steps. After lunch aboard, return to the city to further explore this "Pearl of the Black Sea." Some optional tours are offered, including an evening opera performance. Dine aboard with a late-night departure. (B,L,D)

Day 8 Bachtischisarai & Sevastopol
This morning travel via motorcoach to the Tatar city of Bachtischisarai to visit The Khan Palace, built in 1519. During your tour, see many different architectural styles within the complex with visits to the courthouse, harem and mosques. Later, stroll through the beautiful landscaped grounds. Lunch is served aboard. After lunch, you have free time to further explore Sevastopol. Learn more about its maritime history with a visit to the Museum of the Black Sea Fleet or take an optional tour to Balaklava including a visit to the Panorama Museum. (B,L,D)

Day 9 Yalta
Wake up in the morning in Yalta and join a half-day city tour. Travel along the Lenin Embankment to the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and Livadia. Here, you visit the We Palace, site of the 1945 Yalta Conference between Roosevelt, Stalin and Churchill, and a guided tour takes you through offical halls and private apartments of the czar's family. Return to the ship via old town and enjoy lunch aboard. This, afternoon, explore at your leisure or choose an optional tour to the Nikita Botanical Garden. Dine aboard; dock overnight. (B,L,D)

Day 10 Yalta
Spend your full day of free time exploring Yalta and its surrounding treasures. Or you may join the wine-tasting excursion to Massandra, key state wine producing region. Lunch is followed by an early evening departure. (B,L,D)

Day 11 Kherson
After a day of scenic cruising you arrive in Kherson in the mid-afternoon. Here, you board a small boat and cruise the narrow canals to Fisherman's Island with the beautiful landscape of the Dnieper Delta as your backdrop. (B,L,D)

Day 12 Zaporozhye
Arrive mid-morning in Zaporozhye, ancestral home of the legendary Cossacks. Drive along Lenin Street and see the Lenin Monument, dam and the city's massive hydroelectric plant. Then visit the Cossack Museum of Khortitsa. After lunch aboard you are treated to a special Cossack horsemanship show including folkloric music and dance. An early evening departure is followed by dinner aboard. (B,L,D)

Day 13 Dnieper River
Today you enjoy a full day of scenic cruising along the Dnieper, where you can reflect on Ukraine's beauty and rich heritage. (B,L,D)

Day 14 Kiev
Return to Kiev, docking just after breakfast. Today you visit the open-air museum of Pirogovo, with its more than 200 wooden buildings brought from all over Ukraine. Here, you see typical thatched peasant cottages, taverns and farmhouses, churches and windmill as well as other cultural objects such as icon, crafts, musical instruments and more. Both lunch and dinner are served aboard, but the rest of your day is free to explore on your own. (B,L,D)

Day 15 Kiev
Leave your ship. (B)
